Bleep Codes

I thought my worries were over, I now have one more glitch.

I have two hard drives in my system, when I boot the system sometimes only one of the hard drives is displayed in my computer. When I shutdown and restart my computer, both hard drives are displayed this happens intermittently.

What I also get now is 3 bleeps followed by a pause then 3 bleeps followed by pause. This continues until I reboot the system.

Please help

My motherboard is ASUS with an Award BIOS.

Try re-seating your RAM modules. Make certain the PC is Power Off at the Mains and you have touched the chassis before you touch the RAM.

Going to the link supplied above the best match to the bleep codes from my system the following below.

"Repeating (endless loop)- Memory error- Check for improperly seated or missing memory"

If this is the case surely the faulty memory won't be displayed in the BIOS? Because Both memory modules I have show up in the BIOS.

Most likely one of the memory modules has become slightly unseated as johndrew suggests.
