An error in Bitdefender antivirus disabled Firefox. And flagged a virus as Trojan 1607990
Updating Bitdefender again will cure / allow you to reinstall Firefox.

Just ran the update which has been telling me there are no newer definitions for the past couple of hours - (I don't think this trial version is issued updates as often as a fully-paid-up one) - Firefox reinstalled OK.

Seems OK now after updating latest updates, within Bullguard.
I'm just glad I have xmarks was (foxmarks)for all my bookmarks as I tried a reinstall of Firefox first

Your Firefox bookmarks won't be affected by a re-install, your profile info stays put unless you clear it out yourself. Always a good idea to have a backup though....

Thanks I was not aware of that ,with xmarks I can access my bookmarks on any PC
