Has anyone used this service?

For varying reasons I've been looking at it this morning, but their 'scan' of my PC says that i have an unknown device with no drivers and my BIOS can be updated (Toshiba say that my BIOS is at latest level)

Do the BIOS updates they supply include an individual ROM file, or are they packaged into another file?

Thanks for the link buteman - Some interesting and very familiar reading.

As per a couple of other people in the thread, i got the link from Everest. Seems a bit predictable that 'BIOS Agent Plus' thinks my BIOS is out of date, whereas Toshiba (the make of my lappy) says that everything is fine!

Am also interested that Bios Agent Plus seems to think i have an Unknown Device somewhere in the lappy. What rubbish!!!

All i want is a copy of the BIOS ROM file, does anyone have any ideas where to get it from? The one's that Toshiba supply via their website are packaged into a .exe file so can't access the ROM.

Could this be the sort of thing you want click here
as it allows to save a copy as .bin and then open the copy to read/edit etc.

Not sure that I understood info in my link, it might just be for the graphics card, but thought it sounded similar to what you asked.

hi lotvic,
the link is indeed for graphics cards, but useful nonetheless.
