Can anybody help me on how to flash the bios when you are running windows xp, as my understanding is you have to be in pure DOS mode to do this, and there is no pure DOS mode with windows XP?

can you give us your MOBO details please

Importantly you should only consider flashing the BIOS if you have a problem that can only be fixed by doing so.

My Motherboard (I think thats what you meant) :-)
is an Abit KD7-RAID, with AMD Athlon 2200+, and the VIA KT400 chipset.

Hope this is the info you meant.

Personally I would take it to a computer shop and let them do it. I wouldnt even dream of flashing the BIOS myself. If anything goes wrong ur buggered, but if the shop does it and they mess up the onus is on them
