Hello again

I have a Asus A7V333 Mobo. Upon start up of my system the Asus updater attempts to communicate with the website. It then offers some update one of which is the Bios.

I am not sure how you go about updating the Bios. Can anyone help?

Don't update your BIOs unless absolutely essential - which it isn't.

You can easily destroy your machine if it goes wrong.

BIOS updating (aka flashing) is not recommended unless it is necessary to solve a particular problem. If your pc is ok, you don't want to add new hardware, and so on, leave it as it is.

But if you really do want to do it, let us know and give your bios details.

No

Dont update the BIOS please. Its one of those updates where if you really need it then go ahead. But if its for the sake of just getting the latest version then nahh forget it.

You only really need to update the BIOS if there is a particuilar problem that you know a BIOS update will cure. Also a new CPU may need a BIOS update for it to work.

Just ignore the BIOS update.

Thanks all

I had a inkling that this was dangerous ground! I shall just uninstall the updater and pretend it never happened.

Thanks
