bios problem

need help please, i have just booted my comp and it came up on the screen "main bios crashed please refresh main bios" also"the system is in backup bios" what do i do never had this before

no i have not updated it, its a phenix i think i have a motherboard disc

Get this SIW click here the freeware version is fine.

Then go down the lefthand side of the page to motherboard, click on it.Post make and model.
Next click on bios and note bios version and post.

That is not a motherboard, did you not download and install SIW?
If you did it would,after clicking on the motherboard under hardware label have:

Under the Bios label it will have:
Bios Vendor, which will be Phoenix
serial number,not needed
Bios version.

If you are using Belarc look under Main Circuit Board heading and again it will have the make and model number of your motherboard.You could just copy and paste everything under the Main Circuit Board heading and post back.

yes i did install SIW what i posted above is everything it says on motherboard and bios the name of the motherboard is GATEWAY thats all i know
