I've just bought a very old HP deskpro 4000 (P166), I've tried every button I can think of to get into the bios without any success, can anyone help me with this problem
This has been on here in the last couple of month but I can't track it down. It's one of the function keys but I can't remember which one. Possibly 'F5'?
Although 'F1' was common around that time.
Don't know how old your computer is but my first HP computer bought in 1998 you held down F8 on but up.
Try F10.If that doesn't work you may have to go to the HP/Compaq website. Some of the older machines wouldn't allow you to enter the BIOS until you accessed the webiste first
BUT UP sorry should read boot up
