Bios not fully acpi compliant

  costlyspy 19:46 19 Oct 2005

After replacing a motherboard in my brothers pc which has been working for about a month with no problems it has now come up with a blue screen saying that the Bios is not fully acpi compliant, contact vendor or click here. for an update or disable it. Never come across this before, does this mean the bios needs updating and how easy is it to do; I assume this is done from DOS.

This message can be caused by faulty RAM - clearly it's not simply the motherboard, or it would never have worked.
