Don't mess with the BIOS.

At best your PC may not boot

At worst it could damage your CPU and motherboard.

Only enter BIOS if needed to reset device boot order or you definately Know what your doing.

" Don't mess with the BIOS. "

Good advice

but you can enter the bios and have a good look around and even see how you can change the settings

BUT what you must do when you leave it is to

NOT SAVE the settings and exit.

You will then do no damage but you will learn a little about the bios.

Only alter and SAVE any settings in the bios under expert tuition.

It has a brilliant fail safe device.

If for some reason a setting or settings are altered and the machine refuses to start or reboot. All motherboards have two fail safe ways to alter the bios to defaults

1) is to take out the motherboard battery

2) the quickest and easiest way is to move the plastic jumper on the motherboard to clear the bios.

this will always get the bios back to it's basic level.
