i have two windows xp computers i want to connect to a wireless network, what would be the easiest and cheepest way to share a cable broadband service.
click here plus a pair of PCI wireless adapters (assuming that we're talking about desktops here). For cable services, don't buy a modem/router.
do i need a router or could i install wireless adapters in both descktops and set up a peer 2 peer network
Yes you could if you leave the gateway computer on all the time, using Internet Connection Sharing to share the internet connection. The router option is preferable.
thanx i thought i could and i could then add a router in a week or two .Cash flow probs this week lol
