The best way to use unallocated space

  SB23 12:49 03 May 2007

I'm a little confused, no surprise there, but since I got rid of Acronis (freebie version), I have been left with 10Gb of unallocated space.
In another thread I stated that I knew what to do, but looking at it now, I ain't so sure.
I've been reading about it, as now I can put it to good use, but some say to create an extended partition, others say primary. What is the main difference, as all I want to do is move a few large folders to the new drive that has been created, and if I'm in one of these new folders and I save, I want it to go to the new drive.

I would be grateful for any advice.

I'm going to tick, as, after abit more reading about the subject, I have created an F: drive, moved the files that I wanted, and all seems well.
Should have read more before posting.
