best way to find pc temp?

The Bios is the best, its the most accurate. But if you want something else, my motherboard is a Gigabyte one and it comes with Easytune 4 it also tell you temps etc, the PC I just finished for my mate with an MSI board also came with its own temp and overclocking software. Have a look on your motherboards website there may be software there you can download.

If XP click search then in search type *.temp press enter. If that's what you mean

the reason i ask is i posted a prob under pc hangs after screensaver runs for about 3 hrs but it seems to be happening in use now and i wondered if temp might be a good starting point.

didnt find anything and if i took out the . before temp it just came up with about 6 templates

You could also run Drwatson.exe from the run command. then check the log file after
