Hi, just recently had a virus on my pc and had to do a recovery. Can anyone advise me on either the best free security software or the best reasonably priced security software. I had Norton 360 for a while but it really slowed my pc down so i dont want any that will affect the performance.

If running XP or above click here

If running Visa or above no need for seperate firewall!

If on XP or below then use Zone alarm firewall click here

I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials since it was released - it's free, is antivirus and antimalware. Had no probs since I started with it.click here

As SirMetal, Microsoft Security Essentials, on research I have done it's better than most pay for solutions. It will be my choice over the paid for software I have used for years.
