Best PC and best value

Need your help on the best value pc, can't afford expensive one but need a lot memory. Have a laptop but can't use it due to small type so am using a Dell 18 months old but its not very reliable.
Also what is the best way to transfer documents to a new pc

"Best value" is a highly subjective matter - it depends what you're planning to use the PC for.

PC Advisor magazine's "Best Buy" section is usually a good place to look for the current best value machines.

Adding extra memory when you buy the computer shouldn't cost much. What do you need it for?

Transferring your data files can be done in a number of ways. The easiest is probably to burn them on to CD(s), or use a USB memory stick.

I teach over the web, use word for that but have a lot of them, and have three websites and a blog.
This one is Dell and l would not by again, before that l had a compaq which lasted ages,

Fully agree with wjrt on system have used them lots for components and twice for barebones
