Maplins do a fan pad that is powered off your usb slot I haven't tried one myself anyway you can find them here click here

because it doesn't require any power input - effectively it's a great big heat sink. That's the only thing that would deter me actually - the fact that it's a fairly hefty looking thing. Otherwise I'm tempted - I use my laptop in tropical conditions quite often, and it does get very hot at times.
