Best Gaming OS

Hi i have recently built my own system to replace my crappy old one (specs below) and i was wondering what is the best os to use for gaming

AMD II X4 640 Quad Core
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
AMD 760G Motherboard
Onboard ATI Radeon 3000
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 16MB Cache Hard Drive
Xilence Red Wing Quiet Fan - 92mm x2
Novatech 54Mbps 802.11g Wireless LAN PCI Adapter
Novatech Keyboard mouse and speakers

Windows 7, any version

Really it depends on the games you want to play, if you want to play the latest releases then windows 7 is your best option.

But if your wanting to play older games such as Halo CE and such then windows xp is a good bet.

I was going to use it to play new games like GTA 4 and COD MW2 etc so i will use windows 7

and also does the AMD 760G Motherboard support Crossfire because i am looking on purchasing another ATI Radeon HD 4870 inthe future

The Amd 760G chipset only supports hybrid crossfire

the onboard graphics and an expansion card

if you want full crossfire you will need to purchase a board that supports it
