I have just installed a Belkin wireless network with three sometimes four pc's connected. The router is located in an upstairs bedroom but range is very bad with connection only being available directly below downstairs. I have tried moving around but signal stll weakens if I move more than 10-15 feet.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to why please?

Try NetStumbler to see if there are other wireless networks in the vicinity which may be on the same channel number.

Tanks for suggestion but there is nothing in the vicinity. Belkin do a 'access point/range extender', do you think this would work?

You could try fitting the antenna horizontaly instead of vertically this sometimes works , but their range extender undoubtably would.
have you spoken to them on their free telephone support line.

They are normally realy helpful.

All the best.

Thanks for suggestions. I have tried helpline but cannot get through and have tried router and antenna in different positions but no luck.
