I have a wireless mouse and it seems to 'eat' batteries, I have to change them about every 2 weeks! As far as I can see, the mouse alwats seems to be on (even with the Pc off) - does this seem right?
Microsoft optical mice are very economical,I get 3 months on a set of alkaline batteries
MHI have exactly the same experience with the Belkin wireless mouse.
Why not buy a charger + 4 x 2000mAh AA batteries · Compact plug-in design £10 from Maplins, that's what I did for my daughters PC, she doesn't have a problem now.
My Logitech optical wireless lasts for about 3-4months of pretty continuous usage so 2 weeks suggests a fault.
Use Duracell plus batteries not ordinary ones.These have a much higher amperehour rating (or rechargeables).When you're not using the computer lift the mouse off the surface it's on by resting it on a pen or something. This stops it "searching".
