Belkin UPS red fault led

I have a red flashing led on my belkin f6c1200 ups. I have deduced that the fault only occurs when the battery voltage is high. It looks like the charge circuit is trying to charge the batteries to 29 volts which is too high for a float charge. If I run the batteries down to 24 volts or less the fault dissappears until the voltage rises again.
Anyone know if a circuit diagram is available so i can adjust/repair the unit. Belkin do not have an answer, only what is on their website, in fact the service people I spoke to don't understand what I am asking for!
Cheers BigTone

For something as potentially important as this thing might be, you would be best getting it looked at by Belkin.

Insist that there is a fault and that they look at it for you.

How old is the UPS? Get it fixed under warranty if you can.
