Be ISP Router problem?

  Martin12 17:23 08 Mar 2009

I have just signed up to the ISP Be, there ADSL2 LLU package. It comes with a free router but I use a Powerline one, therefore I would want to use my own.

They have given me 3rd party router connection details, but they say a username & password is not required.

I have 2 questions:

Is it secure?

I cannot see how you can connect without a password etc,, anyone see this a problem?

I should go live in the next few days, therefore I need to make a quick decision.

I guess that they are one of the isps that put your details on the router and as that is fied you do not need to know your details. When you get the router look on its pages and you can obtain the details.

Have you been given a username & password by Be - they issue them by email and/or SMS when confirming your account.

These will be the username & password for accessing the net via whichever router you choose.
