BBC iPlayer and Adobe AIR File

  SURVEY 17:34 11 Jun 2009

My BBC iplayer screen informs me that there is a new version of iplayer available. Clicking on this I am informed that my Adobe AIR file is damaged. I therefore uninstalled the AIR file, rebooted and downloaded a new AIR file from the Adobe site. As usual with Adobe it says installation is successful but I know from expe3rience that this is often not the case. Rebooting and trying to update the iplayer program I am again informed that my AIR file is damaged and…..

This same occurrence on every computer that I have! Why are Adobe products always such a pain to download successfully?

Has anyone any advice/suggestions how to download this AIR file successfully for the iplayer?

Not sure what has gone wrong with your installation but iPlayer Download should be uninstalled before installing iPlayer Desktop which installs Adobe Air at the same time: click here
