In our dental surgery we had one main pc that all other pc's accessed via a network. We just had BT broadband installed and now the pc's cannot accesss the main pc. Do I need to set-up a new network or is this some other problem? All running XP.

Is this a wired network or wireless. If the later, the PC's would use a cross-over cable to talk to one another and the broadband would be connected ny a straight version - they look alike but work differently, and I suspect this is the cause of your problem. Do all the PCs access the broadband

Our pc's were on a wireless network and I believe the broadband is also. And yes, all pc's access bband.

Frankly, I'd get that BT engineer back to do his job properly. If you start tinkering, heaven knows what will happen and, of course, BT will wash their hands of it.
