BB download limits

Sad as I am, I tend to leave Radio 2 running all day on my computer to remind me of the "old country" It's just struck me though is this adding towards my monthly download limit?

I don't really know, although I suppose it must. You could try checking using Net Meter

It very definitely is! You are effectively streaming your radio station, which means you are constantly downloading to achieve this.

Why not buy yourself a Radio, easier to use , transportable and more choice.

If you're in Europe you can usually get BBC radio on satellite TV, so that's an alternative to internet streaming if you have it available in your area...
