basic video editing software

Can anybody advise if there’s a free bit of software I can download to do some basic video editing. What I’m after is something that I can use to ‘knit’ together a few portions of video clips made on a digital camera. E.g. 3 video clips of around a minute each take 20 seconds from each to make a single film. Don’t need any special effects, any suggestions?

Windows movie maker will do it which you already have if you have XP . If your clips are .Mov files youll need to convert to avi first check this info out for that click here

Windows Movie Maker, (free from MS), will import avi files.

If your clips are .mov files then the free RAD Video Tools, will do the job.

Instructions, and download link here:
