bare bones systems

hi i'm thinking of buying a barebones system as have an old PII pc and this seems an inexpensive option to upgrade easily. i have seen one on ebay these are the specs:

CPU Fan: AMD Heavy Duty Cooling Fan With Heat Sink

Memory: Not included (supports up to 2GB DDR Memory)
Graphics: Onboard 3D Graphics, up to 32MB shared memory
AGP: 4x AGP Slot
Sound: AC 97 CODEC 2 Channel Audio
IDE: Supports 4 IDE ATA 33/66/100/133 devices
USB: 6 USB 2.0 Ports (4 at the back & 2 at the front)
Network: 10/100 Ethernet LAN, WOL supported (Broadband ready)
Modem: 56K V.92 AMR or PCI Modem
Cooling Fan : 80mm Case fan with blue neo light.
Bays: 4 x 5.25, 4 x 3.5 for hard Drives & 2 x 3.5 for floppies etc..

am i getting value for money and can i upgrade further on this i'e 128mb graphics card etc.

I actually bought something similar to this for a friend last week on Ebay - Same mobo[only 2 memory slots by the way and only AGPx4]80gb HDD,XP2200,256mb memory new and fully built in case with DVD drive,modem,floppy,etc,etc and I paid £125 +£18 carriage so judge for yourself the value.

PS If you get something similar and stick in an extra 256mb memory,an AGPx4 graphics card and Soundblaster and you've got a decent workhorse base unit for £200.

He's a regular who runs regular Dutch auctions - keep your eyes open 'cos I bought 2 and I'm putting an upgraded one back on Ebay this week!
