Why would knowing your motherboard & chipset be any help to an equiry about bar codes.

What exactly do you want to know about bar codes?

Do you want to produce bar codes or to identify motherboards based on them? Your post isn't clear when you started to mention your motherboard and chipset.

What was flippant??!

What, Why, Which, How?

Make, Print, Read, Interpret, are you sure that it's the Bar Code that will bring salvation?

martjc - that seems to explain how a particular system of barcoding works, there's also 3of9 and other types I believe.

They all have somewhat similar methods, though the exact details vary. Because of the ambiguity of the question, I was simply offering a link through Google.

Thank you for the reply. It was what I was looking for. Someone has asked me to do an inventory and I was wondering if I could use Bar Codes to label things.
Silverous please forgive me I was being flippant about my motherboard and chipset. I now have the answer, thanks to the replies in this forum. I will now consider the thread closed.
