baffled by different processors

One notebook (ASUS) with same specs but 5 different processors. HELP. What is the difference between:
Centrino 2350.
Centrino 2450.
Celeron M520.
AMD Turion TL 56.
AMD Turion MK 36.
I use word processing, some DTP, Photoshop and Internet. Don't play games.

There is an awful lot of unnecessary fuss made about this, that or the other processor and whether Intel or AMD are better.

For most users it doesn't matter one jot what the processor is - provided it's reasonably up to date.

When I look at computers, I more concerned about the hard drive capacity and the amount of memory than the processor.

Also, a lot of fuss is made about graphics cards. Again, unless you are enthusiastic games player (which you say you're not) and reasonable "middle of the road" graphics card should suit.
