I have a CD-R disc with some video clips recorded years ago on a Win98 computer. When I try to access the contents with my current Vista computer I get a blue screen with a warning headed BAD_POOL_HEADER.
The disc is accessible on my XP laptop, what is going wrong ?

Can you not put the data from the cd onto the xp machine, then transfer to the vista via a pen drive ??

I have already "rescued" the files but can't understand why my Vista machine throws a wobbly at this disc and suspect an underlying problem which I'd like to fix.
