Hi i am trying to get rid of my fragmented red files on my harddrive. I do disk fragmentation on a regular basis but this still does not remove them. Im a complete novice where computers are concerned. So can anybody come up with a cheap easy solution. Many thanks

"i am trying to get rid of my fragmented red files on my harddrive"

To be honest, you're probably on a hiding to nothing.

However often you defrag (and defragging TOO often is not advisable) there will always be some red defragmented areas on a hard drive.

Live with it - it's mot life threatening.

Oops, third paragraph should read:

"there will always be some red fragmented areas"
