Backing up using External Hard Drive

  penholder 12:22 13 Feb 2005

Should I build my own, buying drive and case?
Or buy off the shelf?

If I build my own, do I need any software on the disc? I know I'll have to format the disc.

3 computers will need to access it, with 2 via wirelss network.
Advice sort with grateful thanks

the cheapest option is to attach to one PC and make it accessable by other PCs

another way is to get one with network capability and attach to router, but this is very expensive option

another possibility is to get a router which support usb HDD, I think asus makes this

Case £20, 120G HDD £42, plugs in usb port make it shared then if PCs are networked then all have access to it.

Hard disk tools :-
