backing up and switching off routine

Diodorus Siculus (27/9/05 in a reply to Choosing a new PC for home office use)seems to be saying its easy to set up a back up routine to an external source and then have the PC switch itself off Is ther such a free programme and if so can I have the details

What I do:

EzBackItUp: click here This backs up the data for me at 11pm

Then use AutoShutdown for Windows click here to shut down at midnight.

Under Windows XP you can set your pc to hibernate using Windows power management. For this to work, at least on my pc, there must be no screensaver running.
