Backing up Games CDS

  Neil-205596 13:44 15 Mar 2004

Can anybody tell me how i can create a backup cd of a games CD so that my kids do not accidental destroy the original cd by scratches etc and therefore making me spend another £30 - £40 to replace the game.

Many Thanks

I doubt it very much in this forum but you could try click here and choose one of the europe servers

Copying a PC CD is just like copying any other - any burning software will have a "copy disc" function - I use Roxio. Not sure about backups of PlayStation and other format CDs, though.

you can backup playstation cds, but you will have to modify your ps2 to play it.

Some games are 'Copy protected' and will only run on the original CD

You could buy a copy of Games X Copy thats being advertised.

Supposed to copy all games complete with protection rather than try to circumvent it.

I assume its probably a bit copier program.

Havn't tried it myself, just read about it.
