Is it possible or worth backing up your system onto DVD?

i would back all your documents up at least once a week.

If you have a second HDD you can make an image of your HDD with drive image or such like.

it sounds expensive to back it up on dvd though

Very good site Diodorus Siculus, but I couldn't find any mention of DVDs. Most people know about the usual backup methods, but I was wondering about DVDs now that burners are more readily available!

I use Veritas (came with my Sony DVD) to backup the system on one disc, another to backup long term storage, documents, etc and cd's for the variable and temporary material.

DVDs are also useful for storing collections of drivers, manuals etc

There's also a copy of everything on another drive.

I have XP on one machine and 98SE on another.
Veritas is useful for the 98 machine because I can both backup and restore within windows
