I opened my hotmail yesterday and avg resident shield warned me of an infection. I moved it into the virus vault and dealt with it accordingly, but i just want some info on it. it's called IRC/Backdoor.Sdbot2.YMU it was in a file called wbemstest.exe. do i need to replace that file?, or will my pc be ok without it. thanx in advance.

Here's your info on wbemstest.exe click here

I've just noticed a difference in spelling. Official windows file wbemtest.exe

As you spelt it wbemstest.exe

If you have spelt it right I would say it is not required by windows. Wbemtest.exe is to be found in \windows\system32\wbem
