baby laptop advice please

  Smokeyone 09:59 15 Aug 2009

I have been looking at getting a baby laptop - just for the odd movie, music, e-mails, web surfing etc. Nothing too serious work wise.
Any opions on this model please for the money which has a 8.9" screen although I know there are slightly smaller laptops around....

Thanks very much

Will be good enough for your requirements
the Acer or the MSI Wind are probably the best two small machines around at the moment

Please be aware that netbooks do not have an optical drive.

Also, the 8.9" size can be a bit of a disappointment for some people in actual use, so I'd strongly recommend visiting a shop (like PCWorld) just to get a better idea of this.

You may want something a little larger & more powerful too - a Samsung NC10 click here or MSI Wind U100 click here / click here might be more suitable.

More to consider click here, before you make a decision. G

Thank you both for your advice. Had not realised that the larger screen machines are virtually the same overall size as the asus.
