ba649e530dfd9889c7f700 or i386?

I found the reference to this having installed a program to check on the folder sizes on my hard drive but cannot find out what it relates to or what it does, any suggestions?

You haven't been slipstreaming have you?

That ba649e530dfd9889c7f700 looks like the remains of an extracted Service Pack 2, but it could be any temp folder.

i386 is the big XP install directory.

These are not on a seperate partition by any chance?

ba649e530dfd9889c7f700 is the first entry which then leads onto i386 which then if i double click again gives a huge page full of individual files.the whole thing is 326 MB.

ba649e530dfd9889c7f700 folder temp created during SP2 upate

i386 folder required by windows, especially if you want to do a sfc /scnnow repair (if your XP was preinstalled and you have not got a full version of XP on CD leave this folder alone).
