Thanks. I have added to the registry.
Wait to see what is stopped.

Well it certainly hasn't disabled the full screen nag showing a photo being d/loaded.

I tried Avira once, didn't like it because of the nag screen, so I ditched it. You could consider Avast instead.

Or you could try the 'fix' that is here:

In all the reviews they never mention the nags etc- do they?
I was quite pleased with it for a week ( just installed it on a new PC).
If it is that involved to get rid of it/them I will probably ditch it as well.

Going back to Comodo I.S.
Except that I see on their d/load page it is for XP Home SP2.
Is it OK with SP3??

  birdface 09:00 04 Sep 2009

You would need at least SP2 downloaded so SP3 should be no bother.Sorry you could not get rid of the Adverts but I would think that there must be away of doing it.Best of luck with Comodo I/Security.Remember you need 150Mb of disc space for it.

I don't suppose using IE7Pro add-on would stop them.It has an Ad-Blocker with it.As you are using XP I would give it a try anyway as it lets you browse the Internet a lot quicker. If you try it make sure Ad-Blocker is ticked and Mini Download Manager is unticked.

All Avira components removed.
Comodo running, but says virus is out of date.
Manual update says none available.
I see it uses IE for updates and I am on FF.
It was OK on FF before the new PC
PC was set up with IE so will give it a while and see if it updates.
