Hi there. I installed AVG8 but it caused problems with my emails etc. I uninstalled it and have now installed Avast which I am happy with. However, I keep getting the following message every time I switch on the PC. Any idea (in easy peasy language please) how I can get rid of it. The message is "Could not initialize AVG anti Virus. kernal interface application cannot run"

You have still got AVG in the Registry it needs clearing out

Do this, But no more. Go to Run and type Regedit click Enter, Go to Edit in the Menu then click find, type AVG in the box and press Enter, Delete AVG but be careful if its part of a word Make sure it is AVG. To go to next Press F3 until you reach the end of Regedit
