AVG version 8. Malware found - removal

  muscic lover 12:36 29 May 2008

Using Win XP sp2, decent enogh system and resourses.
Using AVG8 having downloaded and updated the program it has detected some malware on my system (called a warning).
I sent it to quarantine then emptied the virus vault, ran the search again and it still detected the malware (TITAN SHIELD ANTISPYWARE & ISEARCH). Am I going wrong somewhere or am I missing something -like a brain cell or two?

Any idea of how to rid myself of this crud from my system?

Ideas and suggestions are gratefully received -before i go loopy and pull out any more hair I havent got to spare!

If you are also using Spybot S&D and or Spywareblaster then AVG 8 will find as infections the dummy registry entries that S&D and Spywareblaster put into the registry it will come up as warnings best option is to do nothing ignore do not manualy remove them

Cheers HC
