Yesterday I received an upgrade to my free AVG. Since then, I have received no emails. I have checked my AVG control centre which advises that I have 130 emails blocked, the number I would normally expect in any 36 hour period. I have disabled the email scanner, but this has not had any effect. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My OS is XP Home Edition, and using Orange on Outlook Express 6 Thank you.
Check you Firewall from AVG Interface - Tools - Firewall Settings - Applications (Expand) - scroll down to your Email Application - Direction should be "Both Ways" then click on "Allow for All" then OK- OK
Hi N61.Many thanks for your prompt response. We checked down your list and couldnt find a "firewall setting" I then uninstalled AVG and then my emails all appeared ok, and have since reinstalled AVG, and fingers crossed all seems ok now.
