AVG timing out on large mails?

  davolente 20:48 29 Jun 2005

When trying to receive larg-ish mails with attachments (pictures, etc.) of several Mb, the AVG pop-up window above the system tray shows them downloading until it gets to round about 70 - 80 % and then the legend changes to "client connected", the rotating icon in the tray still going for about a minute after that before the program seems to throw in the towel and the mail is not transfered to my e-mail client (in this case, Thunderbird) It`s almost as if it`s timing out. To get the mail, I have to disable AVG`s e-mail scanner, which is rather defeating the object somewhat! It seems to be OK on any amount of individual small mails. Any answers, please?
