AVG tagging Spam in different ways?

I have ZoneAlarm free and AVG free anti-virus.
I have two email accounts, one Wanadoo and the other Plusnet. Spam, virtually 100% coming via Wanadoo, always used to be tagged as follows *** SPAM *** in the header line and seldom if ever not being unwanted.
Now I get emails via Plusnet tagged so [-SPAM-] and always being non-spam, wanted emails
Can anyone explain why and what I can do about it?

For Wanadoo the Spam label is applied by them and is virtually useless and meaningless, it gets tagged to almost any supplier circulars I get and marking them "Not Spam" makes no difference at all. Presumably Plusnet are now offering a similar "Service". I'd ignore them completely and if you want a spam filter install a suitable third party item like click here SpamBayes.

Thanks Belatucadrus but the system has worked well for a few years and has only started behaving this way in the last few days and the only thing I have done is to create a rule which directs anything with SPAM in the header to the deleted items folder, unless it has an address which is in my address book.
