Just fired up my PC and AVG is reporting this which seems to relate to Tenebril's Spycatcher. is anyone aware of what's happening please. No problems at all with my PC when I switched off last night.

This worm spreads by e-mail as an attachment or as a hyperlink in ICQ message. On the infected computer virus harvests e-mail addresses or ICQ contacts to which it sends its copies. Virus can download and install other unwanted programs from the Internet.

the link should help with removal..

As above from Santos7 but I suggest you run the vcleaner in safe mode.

Uninstalled Spycatcher and it seemed to vanish. Ran VCleaner as suggested and it was clean.

Although in my case, it caused Spycatcher to crash. This might have been because Zone Alarm kept Spycatcher from access the Internet after Spycatcher's update, and the process simply timed out.

Did you get around it or uninstall Spycatcher (which is what I have had to do)?
