AVG query

Hi all
I'm running avg 6 the free version,everything if fine with the pc but i have just noticed if i go to start/all programs/avg,then click the information tab it says my operating system is windows 2000 professional,when in fact it is xp home,just wondered if anyone knew why.Thanks in advance and merry xmas to all

Same here on XP Home.

I guess the Visual Basic code that detects the OS hasn't been updated to cover XP. I had the source code to a program that determines the OS the PC is running and it used to detect XP as Windows 2000.

Nothing to worry about.

They've fixed it in AVG7 - says xp SP1 on mine.

EICAR is a test for anti-virus programs. It is not a virus but anti-virus programs should detect it as such.
