Avg plus reset to factory settings

I think that my kids my have compromised my AVG spyware plus by allowing dubious things onto the computer by clicking the "Allow" button when the warning sign pops up. How can I put AVG back to factory settings and get rid of the list of things that have been ok'd? I have asked AVG but have had no response - they are not very good at answering queries definately some thing to consider when it's time for subscription renewal. Is it just a question of uninstalling it, downloading a free version and putting in my licence number? I have no back up disc.
If anyone can help I would be most grateful - thanks

i would do exactly that, a clean install should reset everything.

Try the Infections button, Exceptions tab.
