Hi,
my laptop runs windows vista with avg 8 free version, last night, it found the following: "C:\Windows\system32\ico.exe Trojan horse Generic11.ANL Object was moved to Virus Vault."

after it moved it to virus vault, the pc crash and I have to re-start in safe mode and a further scan, avg found 2 infected files and healed them.

now my laptop is working at the moment, was it a virus that avg removed? can anyone tell me?

many thanks

If it is in the virus vault just leave it there for a while.Sometimes you get the odd false positive from avg and you can always restore it at a later date.maybe try the AVG Forum and see if there is any news about it in there or anyone with the same problem.
