Hi,My windows security centre says my virus protection is switched off and out of date,I have run my avg update, and its says its up to date?Who's right who's wrong?using xp obviouslycheers Haggis
clock setting? failing that uninstall/reinstall.johnny.
If the AVG logo is still in "gorgeous Technicolor" then AVG is up to date.Even if it has lapsed to monochrome shades of grey it may still be working though uninstall/reinstall might be wise.I wonder if this is a direct result of the improved security on XP? I use 2000 and Aol and the only thing Aol notes in a summary at sign on, is the "absence" of anti-virus cover. To my mind that is the beauty of AVG. It is there in the background, doesn't get in the way of normal use and demands little of system resources.
