I've just installed AVG Free Edition, but it doesn't seem to work properly on Mail. I keeep getting a message saying "failed to connect to pop.freeserve" and no mail appears. What is the problem?Johnsy
Shouldn't it be something like 'failed to connect to pop.freeserve.co.uk (or .com), rather than 'failed to connect to pop.freeserve'? Check your server settings in your email client.
When I used to use AVG I had this problem - it required Adding a couple of lines from AVG files and Allowing them in ZoneAlarm's Program permissions.However, I don't know if you are using ZA or any other firewall and have forgotten the lines involved...:-(
