i downloaded this the other day and i have noticed that (a) it takes an hour 50 or so to scan pc (old version 45 mins) it found a couple of virus but did not automatically do anything about them (had to right click in results and tell it what to do) anyone else having such issues?

Hi, I too have the new free version, scan on mine takes just over the hour (40Gb in use), but the earlier version took the same time. Not had any nasties, so cant comment on what happens if one is found.

Cheers

did this upgrade come with your normal download of updates or did you request if from the avg site?

morning folks, i received on boot up the other day a warning notice that my version of avg was due to stop in about 10 or so days and was given three options one of which was to d/load 7.5 free from their website which i did.

AVG Normally takes about an hour ,If you have it set to scan all folders, Takes about an hour 20 minutes.

thanks for that, it is currently set for full scan as was previous version which took 40 mins as opposed to an hour 53 with 7.5. but it is the non auto heal/clean which bothers me.
