Avast virus database

I think I may have a problem with Avast's auto update function.

Can other Forum members please tell me which version of the virus database you have.

Mine's 0702-1 dated 11/1/07.

That seems to be the latest click here

Same here, why do you think you have a problem ?

  Jackcoms 12:03 13 Jan 2007

Thanks VoG™.

Why didn't I think of checking there?? Doh!

Given that Avast sometimes updates several times a day a definition dated 11 Jan is a bit ancient I thought! ;-))

Thing I like about avast! is the lack of scheduling for the updates, they arrive when necessary, as you say sometimes several in a day. No doubt the little voice will announce an update when the next virus hits the net.

Now 000703-0 dated 13/1/07

Got it. Looks like my auto update is OK after all. ;-))

Cut the updates check down to 60 minutes from Settings if your system is not switched on for any length of time.
